Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and appagiri, LLC (“Petek”, “we”, “us”) for using westernwallpetek.com and ordering our service. By placing an order you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What we do

You write a note on our website. A person working with Petek in Jerusalem copies your note by hand onto paper, folds it, and places it in the Western Wall (the Kotel). Depending on the package you choose, we send you a photo or a personal video of your note being placed, and may say the names you give us aloud, recite Tehillim (Psalms), or read a blessing, as described on the package at the time of purchase.

• We usually place notes within about 3 business days of your order.
• We never write, film or place notes on Shabbat or on Jewish holidays. Orders placed then wait until after, and delivery takes longer around the holidays.
• Monthly Prayer subscribers get a note placed each month on or near Rosh Chodesh, as described on the package.
• Printable items (a dedication card or certificate) are sent as PDF files by email.

What we don't promise

Placing a note in the Western Wall is a religious tradition and a personal act of prayer. We provide the service of writing, placing and documenting your note. We make no promise, and nothing we say should be understood as a promise, about any spiritual, medical, financial or other outcome.

Petek is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Western Wall Heritage Foundation or any rabbinic authority. The Foundation accepts notes online free of charge at thekotel.org.

The Western Wall is a public holy site. Access can be limited or closed by the authorities (for security reasons, events, weather or other circumstances beyond our control). If we can't place your note within 7 days, you get a full refund (see our Refund Policy).

Your note and your content

• You are responsible for what you write. Please don't include content that is unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• We may decline or refund an order whose content we won't, in good conscience, carry to a holy site. We'll tell you if that happens.
• Only the person who copies your note reads it, and only to copy it. We never publish your note, and it is never shown readable on camera.
• Notes are not returned. Like all notes at the Western Wall, they stay in the Wall until they are gathered (twice a year, before Pesach and Rosh Hashanah) and buried with care on the Mount of Olives.
• The photo or video we send you is for your personal use: keep it, download it, and share it with family and friends.

Orders and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds and we email you a receipt. Please make sure your email address is correct; that's where we send your proof.
• Monthly Prayer is a subscription billed every month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the link in our emails or by replying to any of them. Cancelling stops future charges; the month you've already paid for is still placed.

Refunds

Our full Refund Policy is part of these terms. In short: if we don't send your proof within 7 days, you get a full refund.

Emails

We email you about your order (receipt, proof, and for subscribers the monthly note link). We may also send occasional updates, for example before Jewish holidays; every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't affect emails about your orders. See our Privacy Policy.

Liability

We do our best to deliver exactly what you ordered. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
